Why “end times”? Why are we living in the days the Bible calls “the end times”?
In this video, Rev Willem Glashouwer is speaking about Matthew 24, when His disciples ask Jesus: “how do we know that you will come again in glory?” The disciples already understand that this first coming of Jesus to planet earth will not lead to His beautiful Kingdom in Glory. That beautiful age on planet earth, when the wolf and the lamb will be together and when people will die, they will have the age of trees. “Tell us”, they said, “when will this happen?” “And what will be the sign of your coming in Glory (Greek “Parousia”) and of the end of the age?” “How do we know that?” And then Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.”
“Many will come in my name.” Claiming “I am the Christ”, and they will deceive many. Many false prophets will appear. Many people will be deceived, there will be an increase of wickedness and the love of most will grow cold but he who stands firm to the end will be saved! Brothers and sisters: Stand firm!
Whatever signs you see developing around you and in the world, happening more and more quickly: Stand firm! Because Jesus is coming. Jesus is coming in Glory! And then the next phase of world history will begin!
