When you look at the future the Bible speaks very clearly about the end times. And part of the end times is also about the coming of what the Bible calls: “antichrist”. The word antichrist has two parts. The word anti and Christ. Anti in Greek means “instead of”, “in the place of”. So antichrist means “a christ” instead of Christ. “A Christ” in the place of Christ. “The prince of peace” in the place of the true Prince of Peace, who is Jesus. So antichrist is a kind of saviour instead of the true Saviour.
How will the antichrist present and manifest himself? How will the people of the earth react on this? Will they follow him and for what reasons? Will he have to put up a fight for getting and maintaining his position as world President? Why do charismatic leaders influence people that easy in mass meetings? Will we, as Christians, be on our guard and will we be able to withstand him? Can we distinguish that his inspiration stems from the powers of darkness? Will he be in power for a long time? And if not, who will have the power to remove him from power and how will his reign be ended? Can we be part of all this?
