History of Christians for Israel

Christians for Israel seeks to bring Biblical understanding in the Church and among the nations concerning God’s purposes for Israel and to promote comfort of Israel through prayer and action.

We are a global movement active in over 40 countries on all five continents.

Christians for Israel International’s history began 1979 in Holland and Jerusalem under the leadership of Dutchmen ‘Karel van Oordt’ and ‘Pee Koelewijn’.

The Lord has blessed the movement richly since then, with 25 years’ experience as a European-based ministry.

Christians for Israel has a long and deep tradition of friendship between Holland and the Jewish people.

Also, we have bonds with many people and institutions in Israel at all levels of society. We’ve built a solid network of branches in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Furthermore, our network of contacts and activities continues to grow in many other nations. We’re working hard to develop a wide variety of educational and teaching materials in many languages.
